Snapchat launches new 3D Lenses. Here’s why everyone wants it…

Once again, Snapchat raises the bar with ‘New World Lenses’.

With Snapchat’s infamous stories taking the app world by storm in 2011, it didn’t take long before Whatsapp, Instagram and Facebook caught up with their own bespoke ‘stories’.

But the digital giant has brought something even bigger to the table – a new pair of lenses. The new feature allows users to add on 3-demensional objects in front, above, below or beside them in each snap, creating a fun, fantastical reality.

Its older lenses have allowed users to become a puppy or bee, vomit rainbows and swap faces with friends. But these new AR technology lenses take usability to a whole new level.

Users can now add 3D shapes onto snaps and videos while also allowing them to move around the moving objects which are spatially aware. Simply tap on the screen and add the image of your choice.

Here’s further info on how to use the new feature.
