Asked to design the Cape Town offices of advertising agency 99c, South African architecture practice In House decided to create what they describe as an 'extraordinary - yet more efficient - work environment that sounds the death knell of the conventional office'.
The capacious 3000 sq m office overlooks Cape Town's harbour, so In House decided to use a reclaimed shipping container to create an unusual - yet very practical and stylish - meeting room.

Say the architects: 'In keeping with the theme of sustainability and respect for the natural environment that runs throughout - and also as a nod to the creative nature of the agency's skills - a recycled shipping container has been innovatively converted into an up-to-the-minute waiting room. It's "out the box" thinking ironically demonstrated in a box.'
