Shaw Hospitality Showcases Synchronize at SLEEP + EAT 2018 First Hi-Res Custom Carpet Tile Collection
Shaw Hospitality, a design leader in flooring solutions and surfaces, is pleased to be exhibiting Synchronize, a custom carpet collection at SLEEP + EAT 2018. This collection is an innovation created with Canvas, Shaw Hospitality’s new dye-injection technology, to produce for the first time a custom, large-scale carpet tile with a distinctive aesthetic unlike any other flooring product on the market.

Shaw Hospitality’s designers were drawn to murmuration, the act of massive flocks of starlings moving fluidly in unison throughout the sky. There is no single leader. Instead, bird flocks form massive waves of movement in symphony. Murmuration reflects what humans can do in cadence and collaboration with one another - travelling, working and moving through a space, fluidly and in tandem to produce something incredible.
The high-resolution, dye-injection patterns offer unlimited capabilities in colour and style, capturing the watercolour backdrop of clouds with both abstract and realistic starlings in flight.
Recognising the need for varying pattern scale, square footage and budgets, the collection offers different manufacturing technologies inherent to the needs of hospitality designers. As well as carpet tile, Synchronize is also available as broadloom and as a rug.
In this Collection precision pattern details capture a carved aesthetic in multi-level cuts and loops, designed specifically for larger open hospitality areas, rugs and corridors.
These patterns create further design opportunities and solutions for end-use needs, including the ability to install one room at a time with little disruption to other property areas, and the maintenance ease of 100% nylon carpet.
The collection is customisable in 280+ solution-dyed nylon colours and unlimited dye-injection colours, providing additional options and solutions for designers.
