In 2011, four founding shareholders set up Rhubarb Solutions: Alysoun Stewart, chair person; Paul Rogers, business development director; Paul Callaway, operations director and David Matthews, finance director.

A seating manufacturer 'for all environments', Rhubarb Solutions was born out of the now defunct company Tract and is quickly establishing itself as market-leading service after significant investment in equipment and skills.

Why
The original intention was simply to realise the value of the components stock of the failed company Tract for the benefit of Tract's former landlord, but out of sheer curiosity the founder shareholders set themselves a challenge to establish a new business with a reputation for excellence and a fresh perspective.

Prima The chair sits on thick-walled, flat-sided oval tubing for multi-use environments. Several bespoke options include an underseat basket, writing tablet and arms.

Bringing with them a track record of experience across a wide variety of industries (the motor trade, graphic design, printing, mining engineering, professional services, hospitality and leisure), the four set about creating a furniture manufacturer with a different approach.

Rhubarb Solution plans to exhibit at the next 100% Design and collaborate with a 'well-known designer' to launch a new product.
