‘We strive to make a difference through innovative, original and imaginative design, transforming ideas and fantasy into reality,’ he adds. Work includes a Tom Dixon commission to develop a sculpture for the Copper Spa at The Mondrian Hotel, London, and launching a studio in Malta which is already working on a several projects, including a new primary school.

Why

Mizzi set up his studio after being approached by Italian coffee brand Colicci to be its architect for the submission of a tender for the Royal Parks. ‘I was still only 28, which is young for an architect to go it alone,’ he says.

At the time he had a full-time job. ‘But it was too good an opportunity to pass so I quit my job and went for it! We won the tender and it all spiralled from there,’ he recalls. The studio takes on a range of projects in product design, architecture, commercial design and residential.

‘Our clients’ dreams are listened to, encouraged, explored and brought to life using the best technologies and techniques to realise spectacular feats of design and construction’, says Mizzi.
