Embracing the contrast of vintage character and modern design in the City of London and Hackney, One Crown Place differentiates from many of the other glass towers in the City, combining heritage and contemporary design. Developed by Malaysian infrastructure conglomerate AlloyMtd Group, on March 1st it was revealed that One Crown Place had , launched sales in its ‘South Residencies’ building for the first time.

Prices for the residences start from £788,000 for one, two and three bedroom apartments; the first residents who have bought their properties will be able to move in by late 2020. With such a large portfolio behind him – including work in Shanghai and Brazil - architect Kohn Pederson Fox (KPF) was perfectly placed to design the structure, as he combines his ideas to create buildings with international inspirations and trends.

With stunning views of the City of London, the first release of apartments covers four floors and is located in the south-facing 33 storey residential building. All of the one and two-bedroom apartments are designed by renowned interiors firm Bowler James Brindley, but it has also been revealed that each of the apartments will be fitted with bespoke kitchens and wardrobes. These have been uniquely engineered for One Crown Place by renowned Italian design leader, B&B Italia and its Arclinea kitchen brand.

The extraordinary partnership will provide residents with bespoke fittings, with a level of quality that have previously been unseen in a project of this kind. “This initial release of new homes in our southernmost building is an important moment for the team,” mentions Henry Robinson, Development Manager, CRBE. “Our partnership with B&B Italia also provides buyers with some of the highest specification kitchens available in the market.”

Each apartment gives its residents a spacious living area, with set-ups that have been carefully and thoughtfully planned out. The amount of light in the apartments is one of their key features; warm, natural light shines perfectly each of the spaces, keeping them bright but maintaining residents’ privacy. Oak herringbone flooring runs throughout the apartment whilst brass and marble has been used in each bathroom, creating a flow throughout the space and a slightly industrial -and very luxurious - design.

“Drawing on KPF’s modern architecture which combines beautifully with heritage buildings on-site, the design of these apartments takes inspiration from the local area and its rich and colourful history,” Henry Robinson continues. One Crown Place will also provide residents with top-notch amenities, each of which are being designed by Studio Ashby. These include a state-of-the-art gym, residential lounge, cinema and sensory roof terrace.

Overall, within One Crown Place there will be a total of 246 apartments, including a fully reinstated Georgian terrace - which will be transformed into a 42 room luxury hotel operated by Bespoke Hotels. Situated only a three-minute walk away from Liverpool Street station, the development is only moments away from the Barbican and Shoreditch. With the exciting partnership with B&B Italia well underway, potential residents must be counting down to 2020, when they’ll be able to experience this marvellous space first hand.
