Meet Artemest, the innovative online platform celebrating luxurious Italian craft

The leading online destination for handmade Italian décor, Artemest is the new name in luxury promoting the old, traditional world of craft.

Aiming to be the link between the new luxury connoisseur and the world of handcrafted goods, Artemest is the first e-commerce brand created to showcase luxury crafts made in Italy. Founded in 2015 by well-known jewellery designer Ippolita Rostagno, and Marco Credendino, the website brings the best Italian crafts and design to a world-wide, international audience.

Featuring handmade products by over 350 of the best Italian artisans and designers, Artemest offers an extensive range of furniture, jewellery, fine art and home décor – the innovative platform holds over 7000 unique, artistic products. Key to Artemest’s success has been the company’s scouting process, which started in the months leading up to their initial launch – when Rostagno spent months travelling throughout Italy in search of the finest craftspeople.

Artemest now feature extraordinary talent including the renowned glass masters of Murano, Florentine goldsmiths who create their products in ancient workshops, and designers such as Giuseppe Rivadossi and Antonino Sciortino. Each artist, brand or designer featured on Artemest’s website also has their own unique multimedia content attached to their products, including videos, photos and detailed descriptions of the maker’s history, and their manufacturing process.

Created in part to satisfy the rising demand for more quality-driven, authentic life experiences, because Artemest works with craftspeople, all the products on their website are handmade and offer a range of options for customisation. This gives customers – including interior designers – the chance to find the perfect piece for the space they are designing. The innovative platform is also the perfect channel where artisans and makers can reach their ideal clients.

This February, the Artemest team also took their creative brand one step further, with the launch of their Trade Program. The Trade Program, which was opened at the Italian Embassy in London, has been created to provide professionals with the ability to create unique pieces for their projects – and puts them in touch with Artemest’s range of talented artisans.

Industry professionals who join the Artemest Trade Programs will have access to special discounts across the full collection of beautiful, handmade products featured on Artemest’s websites. Trade members are also assigned a dedicated account manager to assist them with any project requirements they might have – including fulfilling sample and customisation requests, quotation preparation and managing the worldwide deliveries.

This year, Artemest also took part in one of the world’s biggest design fairs: Milan Design Week. In partnership with TED Milano, Artemest held a one-of-a-kind exhibition that celebrated women, held in the historic 1930s villa that is usually the showroom of TED Milano. The exhibition, called Stranger Pinks for its all-in-pink look, featured a curated selection of decorative and furniture pieces created by 50 Artemest artists and designers especially for Milan.

Fast becoming the online destination for luxurious, Italian handmade décor, Artemest has been moving from strength to strength since opening only a few years ago. With their new Trade Program, and the latest showcase in Milan, it’s easy to see how they continue to promote tradition, culture and design excellence throughout the world.
