MakerBot is the global industry leader in desktop 3D printing developments, and aims to provide faster, more efficient 3D technologies that will facilitate the learning process and improve work performance.

While furthering the creative growth and problem solving skills necessary in the classroom, MakerBot also strives to redefine pre-existing norms of traditional rapid prototyping.

For educators, it’s releasing the Thingiverse Education, which offers over one hundred free lessons for differing subject matters and grades.

Professionals will also benefit from the new MakerBot Replica +1 and the Replicator Mini+, applications that include faster performance, more build volume, and prints of improved quality. Engineers can take advantage of the MakerBot Slate Gray Tough PLA Filament Bundle, which promises prototypes and fixtures that feature increasing durability, along with high-impact strength and resilience.

Jonathan Jaglom, CEO of MakerBot reflects on the 3D company’s newest progressions:

We have gone through a cultural shift here at MakerBot over the past year, where listening and understanding the needs of our customers are cornerstones of our company. As a result, we’ve gained an in-depth understanding of the wider needs of professionals and educators that has informed our product development process [. . .] Our new solutions for professionals and educators are based on feedback addressing how we could accelerate and streamline the iterative design process and make teaching with a desktop 3D printer easier and more effective.
