Kvadrat release special edition Stan Smiths inspired by Copenhagen
Textile giant Kvadrat has been busy recently. Alongside teaming up with a plethora of designers for the upcoming London Design Festival, it has managed to find time to collaborate with adidas Originals to create special edition Stan Smith trainers.
The trainers pay homage to Copenhagen. Drawing inspiration from the city's utilitarian design and Japanese aesthetic, Kvadrat leaves a unique stamp on the iconic Stan Smith silhouette.
The collaboration presents three new iterations of the Stan Smith created from Kvadrat’s contemporary fabric squares by Danish designer Vibeke Rohland. The unique fabric is incorporated with embroidered details of the 3-stripes mark and contrast heel patch to signal that these are still an adidas creation.
In case there was any doubt about that, the adidas Stan Smith logo is present on the heel and tongue of the trainers. The body of the shoe sits atop a white sole giving them a streamlined finish.
The adidas Originals x Kvadrat Stan Smith releases are available in store now and come in Navy, Pink and core black.
The trainers are full of tone, texture and colour and are perfect for sports lovers and design enthusiasts alike. We can’t wait to get our hands on a pair!
