Furniture with mismatching legs by Jaime Hayon

The Spanish-born international design star has added a new piece to his beautifully surreal Multileg furniture collection

Spanish designer Jaime Hayon has always done things differently. His work defies convention, and his furniture and other products shine with a spirit of humour and joie de vivre that transforms mere chairs, tables and cabinets into works of art.

Hayon's Multileg range of furniture is a case in point.

Questioning the logic that tables and sideboards be supported by the same boring simple legs, arranged symmetrically, Hayon created a delightfully anarchic looking range of furniture whose legs range from simple utilitarian blocks to intricate spirals of varying sizes.

The latest addition to the Multileg family is the Walnut Cabinet, which, like the other pieces in the range, is available from BD Barcelona.
