Flooring Focus: Products

Moduleo
Vinyl flooring manufacturer Moduleo is extending its Transform collection with eight new designs in 42 colour options. David Bigland, MD of Moduleo UK and Eire, says: 'We have headed in a much more artistic direction with the new products, to provide our customers with more abstract and left-field options.

Moduleo

We have created the products to delve further into the commercial sector and as a reaction to where we believe the market is heading. We have further reinforced our "close to nature" ethos with some of the products, while also offering some much softer, warmer and urban and contemporary colours.' moduleo.co.uk

Aspecta

Among the new products is Tarnish, a steel patina of smoky undertones with contrasting corrosive figures. The light and neutral colours are ideal for corporate, upmarket retail and restaurants, while the darker, earthier colours best match traditional and more rustic spaces such as bars and informal eateries. It is available in six colours. aspectaflooring.com

Milliken

Milliken

Drawing its inspiration from watercolour painting, hand-sketching and drawing with ink, Milliken's Naturally Drawn collection combines the natural beauty and simplicity of the artist's hand with the pattern precision and colour placement of modern-carpet patterning technology.

The aim was to replicate the effect of watercolour and hand-drawing in the form of a floor-covering product. Products in the range have been created using Milliken's Millitron digital patterning technology, which enables patterns and colours to be layered and blended to achieve natural and organic designs. millikencarpet.com

Interface
Interface says that its new Microsfera product sets a new low-carbon record for carpet tiles, with just 3kg of carbon per square metre released during its production, including the processing of all its raw materials.

Interface

This compares with a typical carpet tile, which releases 12kg of CO2 per square metre, Interface says.

The product achieves its environmentally friendly credentials through a reduction in the amount of yarn used in the tiles and a manufacturing process that removes the need for a latex pre-coat.
