In what to many is one of the coolest cities in the world, the yearly-held lighting event not only offers visitors the chance to meet colleagues and make new contacts, but also to see the latest global lighting trends and technologies and to fully realise the extensive lighting options, solutions and technologies available today.

Show features include the return of Next Lighting, an exhibition dedicated to new manufacturers and designers presenting their new lighting products and solutions. Design Lighting Tokyo organiser Reed Exhibitions says it expects more than 100 products to be presented at the next edition.

Another feature is Proto Lighting, a showcase for designers' prototype lighting products. Proto Lighting also helps to partner creative collaborators and manufacturers that may lead concepts closer to commercial realisation.
