Coachella’s Inspiring Art Installations Spark Imagination

Pause the music and take in arts glory.

Coachella has gone for a total refresh in its art installations this year. The art pieces designed by both up-and-coming and established artists are beautifully displayed with a playful and fantastical appreciation for festival-goers to enjoy.

Among the art installations is a six-storey group of animals and an ‘immersive ecosystem’ of whimsical plants spanning one acre long.

The photo-bombing suspect called, ‘Is This What Brings Things Into Focus’ is a herd of elephant-like figures towering up to six stories high, created by artists Joanne Tatham and Tom O’Sullivan.

The ‘Chiaozza Garden’ is created by artists Terri Chiao and Adam Freeza (collectively known as Chiaozza) who creates whimsical pastel plants sparking people’s imagination with the natural world.

The ‘Lamp Beside the Golden Door’ is a lighthouse piece designed by Brazilian artist, Gustavo Prado. The installation unites thousands of rounded mirrors in irregular angles to create a tower from natural light.
