The London EDITION Christmas Tree

Renowned for his graphic aesthetic including multi-layered collages of textures and colours, designer and ceramicist John Booth was behind this year’s The London EDITION Christmas tree. Launched in the lobby of the hotel, it features bespoke baubles designed by Booth, filling the room with festive spirit.

Defying the norms of a traditional tree, Booth’s handmade approach and fun textiles celebrate and redefine the Christmas season. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Betty Woodman, and from children’s playground or post-modern Italian designers, the baubles feature primary colours, experimental materials and explore the festive season in a new, bright way.

Booth has also created new vases which will be displayed in the hotel’s award-winning restaurant. To mark the special occasion, The London EDITION has partnered with House of Voltaire to sell Booth’s creations – baubles and vases – with proceeds being donated to The Albert Kennedy Trust, a charity that supports LGBTQ+ youth affected by homelessness.
