Entries will have a chance to win a £1000 main prize (Professional Winner) and £1000 iGuzzini light designed by Ron Arad (Amateur Winner).

The winners will be handpicked by a line up of judges including UN Studio founder Ben van Berkel and curator Elias Redstone, who co-curated the Barbican’s Constructing World’s exhibition and wrote Shooting Spaces. The final vote will be determined by the public with the category winners chosen by the judges.

Blueprint is looking to acquire anyone who works within the medium of photography, from artists, photographers to journalists and beyond. So if you’re a keen snapper and proud of your work, you’re in the right place.

Photographs will be shortlisted under four categories including Architectural Narrative, Urbanism, Architecture and Light and Architecture and Time. The winners will be announced and exhibited during the London Design Festival at designjunction in London’s King’s Cross on 21 to 24 September 2017.

The winning work will also go on show again at the main Blueprint Awards on 19 October 2017 at Bankside Vaults, London, followed by an exhibition at the iconic Foyles bookshop.

Blueprint editor, Johnny Tucker says, ‘Architecture and photography are two passions of mine, so I’m extremely pleased to be able to combine them into this one award, with the sponsorship of iGuzzini.

‘We’ve deliberately kept the categories quite broad and nebulous to allow a great deal of interpretation and I’m truly excited about the direction people will take this in.’

Entering the awards is easy. Simply pay a nominal fee and submit your winning photo. The fee is £30 for professionals and £10 for amateurs, with 25% going to Teddy’s Wish charity, which raises money for life-saving research into SIDS, Stillborn and Neonatal Death Syndrome.

Deadline for entries is 10 July 2017.
