Best bits of designjunction 2017

Designers, architects, and artists have descended upon London’s Kings cross to bring us the best designjunction to date.

With pop-up shops, converted canal boats and oh so edgy outdoor installations; this year’s designjunction is not to be missed.

Here are DesignCurial’s top picks from this year’s show.

Turkishceramics unveil ‘Gateways’ by Adam Nathaniel Furman.

We have eagerly been anticipating the moment we could see these beautiful arches up close and they didn’t disappoint.

Nathaniel Furman has created a beautiful series of gates are made of tiny colourful ceramic tiles pieced together to create a bright and colourful installation. Each archway is a work of art in itself and the entire installation is all very Insta-worthy.

Voronoi by tala

Two storeys of furniture lighting and trade design to drool over. Make your way around concept stalls and exhibits with some of the best longstanding designers and fresh faces making their designjunction debut. Our favourites includes lighting company tala with their warm light bulbs that dangle prettily from the ceiling and the delicate work of De Classe’s Paper Forest Lamps.

The Crossing: Feature Projects

Blackbody

The Crossing showed off some of the most unique projects at designJunction.  Installations included work from Rado Star Prize UK and Corian, however, our favourite project came from OLED lighting specialists Blackbody. Using mirrors and lighting techniques, Blackbody created an immersive installation.
