ATAG’ HG1111MDB gas hob wins 2011 Red Dot Design Award

The Netherlands-based kitchen specialist ATAG has received the 2011 Red Dot Design Award for its HG1111MDB panoramic gas on glass hob in the Product Design category.

ATAG’s HG1111MDB hob features an ergonomic design, ensuring that the consumer does not have to reach across any of the burners. The HG1111MDB also features individual digital timers, which can be used to programme the required temperatures and cooking times for each burner. The burners are automatically switched off once the food is cooked.

The design features two normal burners and two work burners. It has a completely sealed vitro ceramic base with stainless steel trim and four cooking zones. The ergonomic design includes 1110 mm extra wide burners for maximum cooking space. It also has four enamelled cast iron pan supports. The product is easy to clean and install.

The Red Dot Design Award dates back to 1955. The 2011 awards received over 4,440 entries from 60 countries in the Product Design category. It is judged by an international jury of design experts from 30 countries.
