Art transforms the Amàre Beach Hotel Marbella

Artwork by Anna Schelberg and Paula Vincenti will be on show throughout the Amàre Beach Hotel Marbella this season, as part of the hotel’s Amàre Art programme.

Located footsteps away from Marbella’s golden beachfront, the Amàre Beach Hotel Marbella is a stylish, adults-only hotel that prides itself on its dedication to art and culture. Only a few months ago, the hotel announced the return of its Amàre Art series, which is an impressive programme of exhibitions and initiatives that will run throughout the hotel’s 2019 season. The Amàre Art programme allows both guests and locals view new artworks that been hung throughout the hotel’s public spaces including the stairwells, lifts and the reception. Whether it be sculpture, painting, fashion or video, the Amàre Art programme guarantees that a multitude of work finds a space in the beachfront hotel.

For this year’s programme, the Amàre Marbella will introduce works created by artists Anna Schelberg and Paula Vincenti. Currently showcasing her work throughout the hotel with an exhibition titled Urban Power, Anna Schelberg is a German artist that previously worked as a news journalist. Heavily influenced by her past, Schelberg creates street art that portrays stories of well-known female faces, intertwining the past, present and future as she explores urban life through her paintings. The Urban Power exhibition runs until the 25th June.

The hotel’s second art exhibition will feature work by multi-media artist Paula Vincenti; born in Buenos Aires, Vincenti has been inspired by “the reflections of water and what she sees in the mirror”. Using her life experiences as a guide, Vincenti creates artworks that ask their audience to question and confront their own emotions. To create her bold canvases, Vincenti uses a variety of materials including Chinese ink, recycled cardboard and papier mâché.

The Amàre Marbella will also be continuing with its Amàre Art TV channel, which launched in 2018. Showcasing all of the audio-visual content from the Amàre Art programme, the TV channel will be available in every guest room in the hotel. On this channel guests to the Amàre Marbella will find content that has been created during the different cultural events that have taken place at the hotel, including interviews with artists and musicians, and videos of previous events.

A five-minute walk away from Marbella’s famous Old Town and marina, the Amàre Marbella is an ideal base in the heart of southern Spain; it offers guests the chance to explore the local environment, as well as being immersed in the art and culture showcased in the hotel. The Amàre Marbella has 236 sophisticated, contemporary rooms, and those looking for a luxurious touch can opt for the exclusive ‘The One’ service, a VIP experience that includes VIP check-in and access to a private lounge.
