Hong Kong’s thriving art scene takes centre stage this March with a full programme of events as part of the city’s vibrant and dynamic Arts Month.

Showcasing productions, exhibitions, fairs and tours from around the world transforms Hong Kong’s bustling arts scene to the forefront of the art’s world.

Here's a sneak peek of some of this city’s most coveted arts events:

The world renowned Art Basel taking place from the 23 to 25 March at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre provides a portal to the region's artists, with over half of the participating galleries hailing from Asia-Pacific.

For an international perspective, head over to Art Central from 21 to 25 March. Taking place at Hong Kong’s Central Harbourfront, this dynamic five -day event sees over 100 international galleries presenting an immersive and interactive programme of discovery and experimentation.

One not to be missed is the 45th Hong Kong Arts Festival, (16th February to 18th March) featuring over 1,600 outstanding international and local artists in 129 performances, which take place across the city.

For a more relaxed vibe pop by the Soho Art Gallery Tour, (every Saturday from 11am to 1pm) where visitors have the opportunity to discover all aspects of modern arts and the true function of the design eco-system.

If you’re around in May and fancy investing in some of modern art (without the exorbitant price tag) drop by the Affordable Art Fair, (19th to 21st May) which features over 110 galleries showcasing thousands of artworks priced between £815 ($1,000) to £82,000 ($100,000).

From street art and abstract installations to opera and fine art, there’s no doubt that Hong Kong’s flourishing art scene has something for everyone.
