Address Boulevard Dubai to Launch Bespoke Art Collection

Luxury Resort, Address Boulevard, raises the bar in hotel design.

The Address Boulevard Dubai, a luxurious lifestyle resort in the heart of prestigious Downtown Dubai is currently nearing completion (due to open in Spring 2017) and is set to raise the bar with its bespoke art collection.

With many works commissioned especially for the hotel, the collection comprises 251 distinctive pieces representing a total of 48 emerging and internationally acclaimed artists.

The grand, airy interiors and Art Deco-inspired architecture of the hotel present an ideal environment for showcasing these impressive artworks.  Already being hailed as an icon for the city, the 72-storey curvilinear tower that houses the hotel will be the 36th tallest structure in the world and Dubai’s second tallest building after the landmark Burj Khalifa.

The collection includes a number of one-of-a-kind, stand-out pieces. Among the most notable of these is Wings, a large-scale, 7.5metre-high installation on the driveway by British sculptor, Ben Barrell. Inspirational and elegant, Wings’ appearance differs when viewed from various alternative aspects, seemingly reflecting the scale and aspiration of the city of Dubai itself.

What also caught our eye is the 4-metre chandelier cascading down the hotel’s grand central staircase, created by Czech designer, Jana Ruzickova, it is made from thousands of Bohemian glass crystals that capture, transform and play with the light to dazzling effect.

As If Time Stopped and Anti-Relativity are two works by British visual artist, Anna Masters which are displayed in the lobby. As with many of her projects, these pieces adorning the lobby lounge use geometry, symmetry and mathematics in their design to represent the complexities of human nature and cultural forms.

Further artwork highlights include Fadeout1, a mixed media creation by American visual artist, Katina Huston and the two-panel Dubai #1 and Dubai #2 by British-born Matthew Picton.

Want to check out the art collection? Rooms start from £370 per room per night.
