14 oz. opens second store in Berlin

Retail chain 14 oz. has opened its second store at the Haus Cumberland historical building in the Kurfürstendamm area of West Berlin, Germany.

The store is located in the upper Kurfürstendamm area, surrounded by luxury mono-brand designer boutiques. This is the chain's second store in Berlin.

Sprawling over more than 600 square metres of space, the store features eight metre high ceilings with original stucco that was restaurated and an antique library with a first floor gallery, which partially covers the walls. The interior of the store features brick walls and authentic wooden furniture, which altogether creates a classic atmosphere.

The store itself is housed in the historic Haus Cumberland building, which was built in 1911/1912 by architect Robert Leibnitz as high-class boarding house. It has been sensitively restored sicne then and has been used a Grand Hotel, and later as facility for cultural and administrational institutions. In 2012, a complete renovation was undertaken to transform the building to offer a premium retail, restaurant and luxury apartments.

14 oz. store stocks high class denim and sportswear brands as well as contemporary mens and womenswear such as Denham the Jeanmaker, Red Wing, Nigel Cabourn, Windsor, Woolrich, Macintosh or Canada Goose.
