Nestled in the centre of Manchester stands the new Alliance Business School. Three Mono desks and one bespoke sign-in podium were installed at the £85m redevelopment that modernises its original 1970’s streets-in-the-sky design.

Architects BDP said, “Our design for the new Alliance Business School at the University of Manchester remodels two conjoined buildings, reconnecting it with the city. The remodelling creates an uplifting and appropriately scaled entrance which was previously lacking."

The Mono desks feature in different locations across the site, the largest of which sits in the open plan reception; the configuration is monolithic in appearance, tapering off at one end to create the DDA section. The custom LED branding on the three Mono desks which illuminates the main entrances when evening sets in, also creates a welcoming setting and natural focal point for each space.
