EquipHotel, which took place in Paris from 11 to 15 November 2018, closed its doors on a vibrant and dynamic session, a source of future-focused inspirations in the hospitality and catering sector. Huge success achieved through its pioneering perspective on all the industry’s sectors, driven by Boris Provost, the show’s new director, and supported by his patron, Thierry Marx.
“This session welcomed a wealth of French and international hospitality professionals to a supersized, welcoming event. It will be remembered for its unique dynamic, reflecting the current buzz across the tourism and catering sectors. We saw an increase of more than 10% in visitor numbers, so we welcomed 110,000 visitors! Consolidating its position as a multispecialist show, EquipHotel rose to the challenge of providing a clearer visitor experience and offer, with obvious interconnections and synergies between the different hospitality and catering areas. The show also made inspirational Labs the focal point of each universe, to give shape to trends and provide the keys to future growth drivers. In the parallel ‘OFF’ events, visitors were able to enjoy new and exclusive experiences in central Paris, with the ‘Tous à l’Hôtel’ fringe event. Notable new events at this session included the finale of the Meilleur Sommelier de France competition, the 13th Trophée Jean Delaveyne and the international final of the Chefs en Or competition, organised by Transgourmet.”
