bulthaup Mayfair hosts ‘The Crafted Kitchen’ a pop up exhibition of ceramics curated by Hexagon Classic Design
bulthaup Mayfair are delighted to be hosting a pop up exhibition of ceramics, curated by Racheline Michaels of Hexagon Classic Design at the Wigmore Street showroom between November 22nd and 20th December.
As a family owned business bulthaup is renowned for the quality and architectural lines of its products; but it’s the brand’s passion for the craftsmanship that goes hand in hand with sophisticated manufacturing techniques that sets it apart from the competition.
This collaboration with Hexagon Classic Design celebrates craftsmanship, creativity and the skill of introducing beautiful objects, some of which are also practical, into a kitchen, living space which provides the perfect blank canvas. Showcasing bulthaup’s b Solitaire freestanding units, as well as the fitted b3 range, the ceramic pieces have been chosen and will be arranged by Racheline Michaels with her expert eye for detail honed over years of working in Interior design for clients around the world.
Racheline established Hexagon Classic Design in 2006 to satisfy her passion for beautifully and skilfully crafted ceramic objects. Her collections include work from a variety of artists from the UK and around the world. For Racheline ceramics are ‘part of a considered lifestyle valuing the makers, the materials and the forms. The kitchen is a perfect place to display and use pieces by her favourite artists whether it be a hand thrown mug, cup or a set of bowls. Ultimately it allows the space to have a soul.”
Having worked with bulthaup for many years, Racheline understands the brand’s philosophy and so how best to enhance the minimal elegance of its architectural style. This collaboration is a natural progression to illustrate how well designed products can be combined to individualise any living space to suit the tastes of the client and bring art into the kitchen, whether as functional pieces, or just beautiful objects.
