bulthaup extends its presence on Wigmore Street

Thirty years after opening our flagship store at No. 37 Wigmore Street, we are delighted to announce that we have, as of February 2019, also acquired the neighbouring showroom at No. 27 Wigmore Street, recently vacated by Smallbone.

This extension to our footprint on Wigmore Street provides a significant increase in the floor space available to show a wider range of products, and an exciting new experience for our clients.

London has always been a prime market for bulthaup and Alex Wrighton, Managing Director of the Central London showrooms since 1987, explains:

“The acquisition of this additional space illustrates the brand’s continued commitment to further develop the business.  The opportunity to expand our presence in the same building on Wigmore Street, where we have had a solid and successful history with the brand for over 30 years, was just too good to miss.”

“Our iconic brand, originally founded by Martin Bulthaup 70 years ago this year, remains in the family’s ownership and control with the founder’s grandson Marc O Eckert, steering the company as overall C.E.O.  This stability of ownership, vision and commitment for the long-term is extremely reassuring to our customers and all of us involved, especially in the uncertain times that prevail at the moment.  While we refurbish No.27, we will of course continue to serve all our customers from No. 37 as usual.
