Barlow Tyrie introduces new products and reinvigorated designs

The world’s oldest manufacturer of teakwood outdoor furnishings, Barlow Tyrie, have launched new products and reinvigorated designs for 2019.

Makers of exceptional outdoor garden furniture since 1920, Barlow Tyrie craft premium collections in sustainable teak wood, brushed stainless steel, powder-coated aluminium, and hand-woven synthetic fibre.

The company is the recipient of twenty international design excellence awards, and use only the finest materials - ‘Grade A’ plantation-grown teak, 316 marine grade stainless steel, and the best UV-resistant Sunbrella® cushion fabrics. That, together with superb craftsmanship in manufacture and our determination to be the best, have kept the company in business for nearly 100 years.

Barlow Tyrie is very proud of its ranges, which have been designed for both contemporary and traditional palates. The manufacturer’s design team have created new additions that sit perfectly with its current ranges, and Barlow Tyne is excited to introduce its new products and reinvigorated designs.

The first new design, Atom, is a modern, elegant collection with timeless appeal. The understated styling of the design will ensure Atoms’ popularity for many years to come. The armchair has a strong geometric shape, with an angled backrest that is accented with a circular ‘atom’ hole; this practical feature, is used to fix a cushion backrest for extra comfort and individual styling.

The Aura collection offers a new collection of rectangular dining tables, which are entirely powder-coated plus an aluminium cap, for when a parasol is not in use. This elegant aluminium table collection is low maintenance and contemporary. In addition to this extensive range are Aura low tables, which offer a choice of three beautiful colourways, with teak top, combined with aluminium inlays.

Meanwhile the Titan rustic teak collection has been extended with a beautiful, high dining stool and table. The rustic teak used for this furniture is laminated and includes wild grain patterns, creating a look that is often referred to as ‘farmhouse’ style. The name Titan was chosen to represent this solid, beautifully robust design with its grand dimensions.

From its humble beginnings in East London, Barlow Tyrie are now quickly approaching one hundred years since Victor Tyrie and Frederick Barlow became partners. Many of its now classic “English Garden” designs are still offered and appreciated today.

Based in Braintree, Essex, the outdoor furniture specialist continues to create beautiful designs along with its expert craftsmen and manufacturing expertise. An international reputation based on stylish yet practical designs, traditional craftsmanship, and excellent customer service has made the Barlow Tyrie brand synonymous with quality, since 1920.
