World renowned architecture firm, Zaha Hadid Architects designed and built an incredible 842m bridge in Abu Dhabi last November. To celebrate the Shekh Zayed Bridge's first birthday, we've got our hands on some stunning images for you to peruse.
The Shekh Zayed Bridge connects Abu Dhabi Island with the mainland, and comprises of several arching waves of reinforced concrete, which supports a four-lane highway. At night, the bridge is illuminated by coloured lights.
Other impressive projects by Zaha Hadid Architects include the London 2012 Aquatics Centre and the Riverside Museum in Glasgow - both completed this year.
